Uber New Zealand has today announced that Kiwis users will be able to use its app to book a hire car in more than 300 pickup locations across the country.
Uber has partnered with car-tech company ‘CarTrawler’ to integrate and offer car rentals to its subscribers through its app in New Zealand.
Uber Rent will enable Uber app users to search hundreds of vehicles from high end EVs to practical everyday cars available to rent from car hire companies (inducing Hertz, Avis and Budget), and the new service will allow users to book a rental car for their trip at the tap of a button. Powered by Car Trawler, the world’s leading technology provider for the rental industry, the Uber app will allow users to search for the best car hire options based on a user’s location and destination. This will include the ability to compare options by price, vehicle size and user ratings.
Uber Rent will be gradually rolled out and made available to all of users in New Zealand by the end of August.
